Central Heating Radiator - Central Heating Radiator Store - Central Heating Radiator Sale
The central heating radiator is possibly one of the best inventions for the home! Without the central heating radiator we would have to return to the cold mornings when you step out of bed or worse still when you step out of a warm bath or shower.
We are all to familiar with a central heated radiator, but for many of us we will not know what it was like to not have the benefit of the entire home heated from radiators. The open fireplace was one of the main heating elements to homes before the radiator appeared. Although an open fireplace provides an excellent amount of heat you do not have the option of turning it down when you are too hot also it is dirty and only heats the main rooms it is based within. Bedrooms and toilets and other rooms that are set away from the main room where the fire was situated would have been bitterly cold. More importantly the home is only hot as long as the fire is lit. Many mornings with no one to keep the fire stocked up with wood the fire would be out and this would leave the entire home extremely cold.

Radiators date back to the early 1830’s where they were first manufactured in America from cast iron. The very first designs were iron tubes screwed vertically into a base made of cast iron. Cast iron was the prefect material as it was widely available and immensely flexible and more importantly it was ideal for radiating heat. The design has stayed the same throughout time as it is today with the sectional format. The main reason for this at the time was because cast iron is extremely heavy and if the radiator had been made entirely of solid cast iron without sectional gaps between it would have been too heavy for the home. Although throughout the Victorian period the cast iron radiator was elaborately decorated to become a feature of décor within the home.
Although America enjoyed the central heating radiators throughout the 18th century it was not until the 20th century that Britain could start to indulge in the benefit of radiant heat.
It may seem a long time ago that we first developed a taste for the radiator to heat our homes but they still use the same formulae today as they did back then to heat up our homes. Now with the introduction of the designer radiator the fashion element to transforming our homes in to a work of art has become a popular attraction with the home owner. With these radiators becoming so popular the central heating radiator has considerably dropped in price with many central heating stockists and radiator stores offering central heating radiator sales throughout the country. This has led to the perfect time for builders and home owners to buy a central heating radiator and gain an absolute bargain.
