The Nordic Oslo: Premium Column Curves
The Nordic Oslo is our top-selling column radiator for bay windows, offering a stunning industrial-chic look that is a proven favourite for Victorian and Edwardian renovations. Unlike standard convectors, the Nordic Oslo can be curved to your specific wall dimensions using precise measurements (Chord and Camber) rather than a physical paper template.
Available in 2, 3, and 4-column depths, the Nordic Oslo provides massive heat outputs of up to 9,000 BTU, making it the most powerful option for large, draughty bays. Choose from high-end finishes like Raw Metal Lacquered, Anthracite, or Gloss White to customise your interior focal point.
How to Measure Your Bay Area
To ensure your bespoke radiator fits perfectly, accuracy is essential. When measuring for a curved radiator, never measure in a straight line across the mouth of the bay. You must measure round the curve where the radiator will sit. For the Nordic Oslo, we require two specific measurements:
- The Chord: The straight-line distance across the mouth of the bay.
- The Camber: The depth from the centre of the chord to the deepest part of the wall curve.
For standard convector curving, we require a physical paper template. You can find detailed instructions and helpful photos in our guide to measuring bay radiators.
Efficiency and System Compatibility
Bay window radiators are among the most powerful units on our site, designed to counteract the cool air found near large glass surfaces. This positioning creates efficient convection currents, warming your room more effectively than a radiator placed on an internal wall. Use our free BTU heating calculator to determine the thermal requirements for your space.
All our curved radiators are designed for use with traditional central heating systems. If you require a solution for an extension or a room without pipework, explore our range of electric heating options for alternative layout ideas.
Trade Radiators Service and Lead Times
Bespoke curving is a precision manufacturing process. While standard radiators are available for next-day delivery, custom bay radiators typically have a lead time of 2-3 weeks for convectors and up to 8-10 weeks for the Nordic Oslo range. We aim to keep you updated throughout the process to ensure your project stays on track.
