If you choose the standard dual-fuel kit, your rail is equipped with a 400 electric heating element to warm it when the central heating is off. The smart thermostatic kit uses a 300 heating element to do the same thing, but also gives you control over the rail's temperature. It's all about having extra flexibility to control your experience with your towel rail. Whatever configuration you choose, you would do well to include matching valves and pipe sleeves for a seamless Chrome appearance.
